Kończy się sezon dokarmiania ptaków. Kupiłam w tym roku wiele mniej karmy. Zima była ciepła i chętnych do jedzenia było mniej. Miałam stałych klientów, ale czekałam na jakieś ciekawe wizyty. Pokazały się raniuszki na karmniku z kulami. Regularnie zaglądał pełzacz i dzięcioł duży. Jer był jeden, w dodatku bez oka. Pokazywał sie też grubodziób, ale pojedynczo. Mało zaś było czubatek, sosnówki nie widziałam w tym roku, szczygłów także. No i ani jednego gila. Może dlatego, że nie zostały owoce na jarzębinie i aronii.
Miałam też mniej czasu i ostatnio mniej cierpliwości więc zdjęć nie zrobiłam zbyt wielu.

Ta zima była troszkę nietypowa, taka krótko lutowa. Może dlatego wiele gatunków sobie odpuściło?

They love the sunflower seeds and nuts. The blackbird gets his apple.

Hi Marika! I give the blackbirds the apples that I forget about and they wrinkle in the basket. I don't give them nuts, they're not that lucky :-) Have a nice evening!
UsuńI am happy to see so many birds at your feeders and know that you are taking such good care of them during the harsh winter months. I tried those balls of fat I see in your pictures and they were enthusiastically pounced on by the birds, but the squirrels got most of them. I am quite sure that I feed squirrels as much as I do birds! Best wishes - David
OdpowiedzUsuńDavid, jays steal the balls from my feeder. They are currently mating and showing off to the females. It looks a bit funny. It's hard to say whether I am taking care of the birds. They will manage without me, but at least it is a way for them to be closer to me.
